The Classroom Technologies team, part of IT's Educational Technologies (EdTech) group, is tasked and funded to support teaching technology in classrooms and labs reserved through and managed by the the Rice University Registrar.

There are many spaces on campus equipped with AV technology that are not controlled by the Office of the Registrar.  Unless arrangements have been made with the departmental owners of these spaces, the Classroom Technologies team does not support the equipment in these spaces.  Similarly, our staff does not support portable projectors or other AV equipment owned by other Rice departments.

If your department has equipment in need of service for a non-supported space, you may wish to contact one of the AV vendors listed below.  Neither IT nor the EdTech team can endorse vendors or guarantee their work or performance on and for non-supported spaces.  However, the EdTech team previously utilized each of these vendors with success on other projects.  Best practices for Rice University expenditures always include asking for an itemized quote for any and all work to be performed.
