To control the classroom

  • Turn the projector on and off: using the red PROJ ON and OFF buttons located in the top corner(s) of the classroom remote.
  • Choose the source you wish to display: by pressing the blue SOURCE button that is labeled with your sources name. The source buttons are located in the top middle of the classroom remote. When you press a source button, that source's audio and video are automatically routed to the classroom's audio and video systems.
  • To control the classroom's screen: use either the light gray SCREEN buttons located on the left side of the classroom remote, or use the SCREEN buttons located on the wall near the chalkboard. If no buttons are on the remote, then your classroom either has a pull-down screen, or the projection is designed to display on the classrooms wall.
  • To control the classrooms lighting:
    • Switches on the wall control fluorescent and or incandescent lighting in the room. We suggest you dim the lights as much as possible for LCD Projection viewing, taking special care to at least turn the lights off that shine on the projection screen. Those lights will make the your display materials more difficult for your class to view.
    • If your classroom has shades on the windows, use the dark gray SHADE buttons to raise and lower the shades to reduce ambient light in the room.
  • To control the classroom audio level use the light gray AUDIO buttons located on the right hand side of the classroom remote.

Advanced A/V Options:

In most rooms you have the option to send sources to only the Podium Monitor, only the LCD Projector, or only the audio system. This type of control is signified by an ADVANCED A/V OPTIONS section of buttons below the blue SOURCE buttons on the classroom remote. To use the ADVANCED A/V OPTIONS:

  1. Press the advanced options you would like to preform:
    • PROJ ONLY - switches to the LCD Projector only.
    • POD ONLY - switches to the Podium Monitor only.
    • AUDIO ONLY - switches to the Classroom's Audio system only.
  2. Then press the SOURCE button for the source that you want sent only top the part of the system you selected in the last step.

Please note that the mouse and keyboard will control the source that is displayed on the podium monitor.
