| summary: | Dr. Konrad Steffen, well-known Swiss scientist, is the Director of the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado, Boulder. For over three decades, he has led field expeditions to the Greenland Ice Sheet, Antarctica, and other Arctic regions to measure the dynamic response of ice masses under a warming climate. His work is responsible for a large part of the instrumentation that monitors changing conditions on the Greenland Ice Sheet. He has published over 80 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, and his research has been featured on television, radio, and in many popular magazines. |
